GOD MADE A LITTLE GIRL FOR MAMA
Mama has a little girl For many, many things, Like holding her high Where the sunlight sings, Like telling in comforting voice, All is
right If she awakens in frantic dreams at night.
Like being a guide that raises her heart, And tells
her how to get home When everything falls apart. For giving her love that is
her air,When diving deep or soaring high: Mama will be there.
God took the strength of a mountain, The majesty of a tree, The warmth of a summer sun, The
calm of a quiet sea, The generous soul of nature, And made
a little girl for mama .
The wisdom of the ages, The
power of the eagle’s flight, The joy of a morning in spring, The
faith of a mustard seed, The patience of eternity, And made a little girl for mama.
That’s why God made a little
girl The depth of mama’s needs,
When there was nothing more to add,
His masterpiece complete, Mama had a little girl To place upon her knee.
