MOTHERS DAY SHORT STORY

                                                              "Mothers Give All"

Maybe you’re a mother, or have a mother or yor're married to a mother or were born by a mother. You were born by a mom or how did you get here to read what I’m going to say?  Dropped on a rock left in the sun to hatch-I believe it.
Mothers are the great common denominator of the universe. You don’t have to do anything to have a mother. You just pop out and before the  doctor can count from 10 to 1 she’s holding you  having a big smile. There she is , hopefully,  we showed up on time.
From behind the curtains, having a baby is a hard physical and emotional experience. To prove how forgetful mothers are, some of them have more than one baby.
Instinct, mothers have instinct. Mothers don’t need advice when they deliver; they’re equipped with mother instinct.  It’s automatic:  when you poke your tiny body, about the size of a banana squash, wailing  blue faced and get dropped on the ground or handed into their arms.  The code came to mothers one generation after another, from their moms, grandmas, great-grandmas and so on and on.
Mothers have learned well and are ready, because you get born not knowing crap, and I’m not talking diapers here. Diapers are in the next installment.
     To be continued…
