The
civil war
Out of Richmond At
the crack of dawn, On
a dusty road
Leading to Appomattox town.
A nurse on her stallion rode
home. A long the way She
passed Confederates, Shot, bloated and dead.
Sprung from
swift hooves She
goes thundering by
Leaving dust from the road
Rising high into the sky.
Crafting a trail like a
comet, Shot from the mouth Of
a thousand cannons, Rushing for home,
faster and faster
The rebellion foreboding for
Slave owners, then and forever,
On the 4th of July 1865. Our 5 year Civil
War finally over. DR.KARL WALLACE DDS
