Dear Steve,
My brother lives next door to Rain Man, the real Rain Man from Orem, Utah. My brother John and Rain Man, his birth name is Darley were born forty years ago on Easter Sunday in Orem and quite unpredictably in the same hospital.
Rain Man was popularized in the movie by the same name. Dustin Hoffman decided to make the movie “Rain Man” using as a side kick Tom Cruise. The movie was a complete success and Darley became independently wealthy. He has ever since been on talk shows and many other indigents. He is still located in his wheel chair and plans to be with Dustin for a big 50 year birthday celebration in Orem this Easter.
Dustin often came to Orem while making the movie to talk with Darley. Darley was just a person until Dustin heard about his ability to solve math problems. Dustin, Cruise, writers, producers made the award winning movie “Rain Man.” Darley became wealthy form the movies success and Dustin’s generosity. He has since been on talk shows, and made many public appearances. He is still in his wheel chair and plans to be with John and Dustin for a big whopping 50 year birthday celebration in Orem on Easter Sunday.
