A whispering pine once said
“Come let's plant a cherry tree,
We’ll use a spade, make wide a bed.
Where we will plant a cherry seed.
Any day will do.
“We''ll cover it over with earth then
Leave alone for lovely Mother Nature.
We'llThink of birds and greening trees
Sing a song for a cherry tree.
"Think orchards far from town
Of heights where streams
Come tumbling down,
Where bluebirds sing and play.
“Where rain is coaxed from flying clouds
Till everything is clean and fresh.
When suddenly there will be
Our tiny cherry awakeing anew.
“Then she throws the earth aside
Stretchs for a climb to the sky,
Sing a song for a cherry tree
Any day will do.
